Construction business is disorganised in India. Ever since we have started construction of our house, we have had to deal with lot of fraudulent and thieving people.

The workers often do poor quality work if not monitored, steal building material and not show up to work somedays. On top of that contractors try to buy cheap quality materials, or take kickbacks from store owners.

This person took 30k as an advance to complete the house and give finishing. Didn’t turn up for work, kept giving excuses, and finally stopped picking up our call.

Police in our state is very corrupt. They wouldn’t register an FIR for this amount. Please suggest any way I can get back the money.
