While the english mainstream media has not carried the news, the marathi youtube channels TV9 and LSmarathi carried the news that Gujju flat owner dhaval shah allegedly beats up marathi speaking house evaluation officer Pravin Mistry in Ghatkopar when the house evaluation officer visited the house to collect information as required for his job.
The incident took place on July 31, 2026, though the marathi media covered the news only on August 5, after the victim contacted MNS.
The officer wanted to collect the information without entering the house, but 45 year old dhaval shah dragged inside the house, beat up and removed the victims clothes and started filming him on phone. The victims phone was also damaged.
Later the pantnagar police were informed,and they entered the flat to rescue the victim. There are other incidents of marathi gujju conflict, in Ghatkopar,which the ward of the city mayor Ritu Tawde.
